How early do we need to book?  All good celebrants on the Sunshine Coast are very busy so it's important that you book as soon as you know your date , time and venue.  Most couples have secured their date with a deposit at least 12 months in advance.

How long does a typical ceremony go for? An average ceremony will take around 20-30min, however the length is completely up to you if you wish to make it longer or shorter.

Do you have a good sound system and is it included in the price? Yes, I use a system called "my pro" it is a very high quality sound system including a cordless microphone.  It is small and compact so it wont be intrusive in your photographs, and it can also play CDs or plug iPods straight into it for your ceremony music.

Can we write our own vows? Yes definitely! Personalised vows are beautiful. I can send you some examples of vows to help get you started but it's really not as hard as you may think.

How many witnesses do we need and can they be related to us? You need two witnesses present at your Marriage Ceremony who are over the age of 18. Any person can act as a witness, even your parents. The celebrant, however, cannot act as a witness.

Do we need to have a rehearsal? No, rehearsals are optional, however most couples opt to not have a rehearsal.  Rehearsals are traditionally important for long involved church weddings.  A good celebrant will just guide you through the ceremony on the day so you wont have to worry about memorising any part of it.  Some photographers also suggest not having a rehearsal because the day is then captured more naturally.  The hardest part is walking down the aisle (which is really not that scary) and once you reach the front I will lead you through everything.

Should we have a wet weather back up? Absolutely! As you know a lot of time and money goes into the planning of a wedding so it is really important to have a plan B in case the weather is not favourable on the day, and keep in mind that the wind can be just as destructive as the rain!

How many songs will I need for the ceremony? Music is optional, however it does add to the occasion.  You will only need around 4 songs; one to walk down the aisle to, two for the signing of the certificates and one to walk back down the aisle together.

Is it fashionable for the bride to be late? No, is not fashionable to be late! Consider your guests, who may be elderly and become hot, tired and thirsty. Your reception, caterers, photographers and musicians are all running to a time schedule. If the Ceremony starts late so does everything else. (But in saying that 10mins is ok)

What would happen if you were to get sick? Unless I am on deaths door I will attend to your Ceremony. In the event that I am too ill, I have a wonderful group of celebrants I can call on who would perform your ceremony.

What name does the bride sign on the day of the Wedding? Her maiden name on all documentation, unless you have changed your name via a previous marriage or through some other form, in which case you must provide a change of name certificate.

How will you dress? Accordingly to suit the formality/informality of your wedding - Elegantly, appropriately and relatively neutral. It's your day not mine. It is my intention to complement the bridal party.
